Below is a series of photographs depicting the first half of the total lunar eclipse that took place on 27/28 November 1993. The observation location was my backyard in Oakdale, CT USA. All photos were taken on Fuji 400 speed color film using a Celestron CG-11 (with focal reducer for F6.3, or 1760mm effective focal length). The exact time of each exposure was not recorded. These shots represent the best 7 (from 2 rolls of film). The last three shots are of the Moon during totality.
