Here is a shot of the manificent globular cluster M3 taken through a Celestron CG-11 (with focal reducer yielding 1765mm @ F6.3). Film was Kodak Royal Gold 1000, exposure time was 2 minutes 45 seconds. No guiding corrections made during the exposure. Photo taken from Blandford MA USA on 16 Mar 97.
Below is another photo of the same object taken from a worse location (light pollution). Taken on 7 March 1997 from Wilbraham, MA USA using a Celestron CG-11 scope (w/ focal reducer yielding 1765mm @F6.3). Exposure was only 3 minutes on Kodak Royal Gold 1000 film! I made no guiding corrections during this photo... a testament to the accuracy of the G-11 mount.
