Farmall M Image Gallery 6: BRAKE PARTS

This image gallery contains various reference photos of various parts of the Farmall M. This gallery is probably only of interest to those who are restoring or repairing a Farmall M. Each photo will open in a new window so you won't have to keep clicking back to this page. A thumbnail shot of each image is shown on this page. Please note that the images on this page were taken with three different digital cameras, one of which is very entry level (and thus the pictures are not as good). Some of the photos are large format high resolution images, these will show a great amount of detail.

One of the brake drum covers sitting in the sandblast cabinet after partial stripping of old paint. The brake band adjustment bolt (sticking out of the drum cover at the top of this image) was repaired. Both were sheared off on my tractor when I got it.Click Here for the full size image (opens in a new window)

Brake assembly parts. The piece in the center and the threaded portion of the part at lower right are newly machined parts (made my a friend who has an extensive shop in his basement). These parts were made because the old ones broke upon attempted removal. Click Here for the full size image (opens in a new window)

The brake part (with the newly machined center piece) reassembled (but before sandblasting of the original parts). Click Here for the full size image (opens in a new window)
