  1. CLASS NOTES: I was never good at taking notes. Looking back at notes like these it's a wonder I learned anything in school! (105k JPEG file)
  2. CAFETERIA MENU: Do you remember what the cafeteria menu was for the week of 21 March 1977? If not (and if you really want to know), you can pull up the cafeteria menu and see what the "mystery meat" of the day was! (96k JPEG file).
  3. 1976 Vintage WHYN News Sounder: This sound should bring back memories for anyone who grew up listening to WHYN! Just click on the link to download and play the sound byte (120 kB .WAV file)
  4. Do You Remember... how people used to get a quick "high" by sniffing the blue ditto ink? This and other short comical memories and trivia are listed in this fun section. One of the most popular items available on this site!
  5. Memory Time Line This page contains a day by day record of events that happened during the time of our high school years (both in and out of school)... if you have an item to add please let me know!
  6. Whatever Happened to...? Have you ever wondered what became of someone you used to know? Find out here! Or, let me know and I'll put up a notice asking if anyone knows what happened to someone you used to know!
  7. Mr. Sternberg's Biology class: Listen to a lesson on anerobic respiration as taught by Mr. Sternberg in the winter of 1976! Also, hear Mr. Lagunowich on one of his very first days of teaching (right near the end of the session)! Note: back in 1976 I had the entire lesson, however about 1/2 of it got erased sometime during the 70s, so only about 1/2 of the lesson remains. Some of the kids that were in this class: Jennifer Pauly, Sue Engles, Bill Dangleis, Marty Szydlowski, Mike Schmidt, Ken Delaney. (14 MB mp3 file)
  8. Minnechaug ID Cards: Remeber the ID cards we were all required to have on us? Here are two: one from Barbara Gousy and one from Joe Roberts (Joe's is in real bad shape!)
  9. Kissing License An anonymous donor submitted this item... it was found stuffed in the person's locker in the fall of 1977...
  10. Corny Valentines from Grade School A look back at the Valentine cards that kids gave to each other in grade school.
  11. Absentee list for Monday, March 28 1977 See who was absent, who was in the nurse's office, and see who was on internal and external suspension!
  12. A Biology Test paper Memories from Mr. Sternberg's sophomore Biology Class (1976). This kid actually graduated?
  13. Arena Scheduling Form Do you remember the form we had to walk around with for "Arena Scheduling"? If you were in early, you got everything you wanted... but if you were in late, nothing but "bottom of the barrel" scrapings were left, and there were a LOT of miserable kids!
  14. Pines School Patch from 1971 Thanks to John Bedard for this contribution!
  15. Algebra Book Dolciani... Berman... Wooton... names and an image that will bring back nightmares for some!
  16. Program of Studies The cover page of the book that had all the classes for the upcoming year.
  17. SAT Report An SAT test result sheet from 1977. This kid actually got into college?

On-Line Minnechaug Yearbook

For those people who never bought yearbooks, this section will be the next best thing. I have all four yearbooks from our years at Minnechaug, plus a number of others from later years. I hope to work some sort of CD-ROM version of the yearbooks for those people who never bought them or no longer have them. Creating the CD-ROM versions of the yearbooks will be a significant undertaking, so no guarantee as to when they will be available. In the meantime, here's a small sampling of somehting from the 1978 yearbook:
